This is a recipe from my childhood. When we lived in New Jersey, one of Mom's friends gave her this recipe. I remember eating it in Iowa, but not NJ.... The Redmond's moved from NJ before we did, but I have some fond memories of her.
Mix one pound ground beef, two tablespoons bread crumbs, one egg, one-half teaspoon salt. Shape in small balls and broil until brown.
In saucepan cook one-third cup green pepper and onion in two tablespoons butter. Add one can tomato soup, two tablespoons brown sugar, four teaspoons worchestershire sauce, one tablespoon each prepared mustard and vinegar. Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Can also substitute cocktail hot dogs.
Always a yummy treat!
